About Wazuka, Kyoto 

Designated one of Japan’s most beautiful villages, Wazuka is famed for its dramatic sloped tea fields and 800-year tea-growing heritage. Though a separate town, it forms a core part of the renowned Uji tea region, producing roughly half of the area’s high-quality green tea that is celebrated for exceptional aroma and character. Local farmers combine traditional cultivation techniques with meticulous care, producing matcha that is aromatic, rich, and satisfying.

How to Prepare

• Sift 3g of matcha into a bowl or cup
• Add 60–70ml hot water (70–80°C)
• Whisk until smooth and frothy
