About Wazuka, Kyoto Recognized as one of Japan’s most beautiful villages, Wazuka is famed for its dramatic sloped tea fields and 800-year tea-growing heritage. Though a separate town, it forms a core part of the renowned Uji tea region, producing roughly half of the area’s high-quality green tea that is celebrated for exceptional aroma and character.
