Who is Kubo Sabun?
Kubo Sabun is a master chasen craftsman and the 24th-generation head of Chikumeido, a family business with more than 500 years of history. Recognised as a Traditional Craftsman by the Japanese government and recipient of the prestigious Order of the Rising Sun in 2015, Kubo Sabun's work has also been exhibited at the Louvre, reflecting the international acclaim for his craftsmanship and the enduring cultural significance of Japan's bamboo matcha whisks.
How to use: Before whisking, soak the whisk in warm water for a few minutes to soften the bamboo. Whisk your matcha briskly in an “M” motion until a fine foam forms on top.
